The "Rhone Route" is the name of the VéloRoute that runs through Switzerland along the river of the same name. Together with its French equivalent, the "ViaRhôna", they form EuroVélo 17, a magnificent route linking the imposing mountains of the Swiss Alps to the gentle shores of the Mediterranean.

The "Rhine Route", known in the European cycle route network as EuroVelo 15, follows the river of the same name from its source in the Swiss mountains to its mouth in the Netherlands, from the Alps to the North Sea. It crosses 4 countries (Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands), 9 Unesco World Heritage sites, and covers 1230 km of track.

Start in Bürglen im Kanton Uri (CH), einem Ort ca. 9 km östlich vom Vierwaldstätter See. Zielsetzung ist die Überquerung der Klausenpasshöhe in 1.948 m Höhe. Von Linthal im Kanton Klarus (CH) am Ende des Klausenpasses fahren wir weiter über die Alpenpanoramaroute an Glarus vorbei bis nach Niederurnen. Ab Niederurnen wechseln wir zur Seenroute und radeln bis nach Filzbach am Walensee weiter.
