Les Monts Telliers
The Monts Telliers is a double-peaked, almost 3000-metre peak that is popular with ski tourers in winter and spring because of its ideal slope. The summit offers a view of famous peaks of the Western Alps such as Mont Blanc, Grandes Jorasses, Gran Paradiso, and Mont Vélan. Even when the snow retreats from the lower altitudes in spring, the Great Saint Bernard still has wintry conditions, as can be seen from the late opening of the pass road in mid-June. In winter, you can drive up to the beginning of the Saint Bernard tunnel at 1900 m, and there is a large car park at the beginning of the snow-covered pass road.
