EuroVelo 19 Section 4 Huy-Namur
EuroVelo Belgium
Not far from the ancient fortified city of Huy, by crossing the RAVeL on the right bank of the Meuse, stands Andenne, a city of bears, where stone, water and wood remind us how much the wealth of this region is dependent on these natural elements. The remarkably restored site of Moulins de Beez signals the entry into Namur, capital of Wallonia.
The city of Namur, gateway to Ardennes, offers its visitors difference facets. From the Citadel, overlooking the confluence between the Sambre and the Meuse, masterpiece of Vauban, great military architect of Louis XIV, at its historic heart, the art of living well here is ubiquitous.
