Achter Furth im Wald ligt de Hohenbogen. Hier wacht je over een afstand van ruim een kilometer een van de steilste hellingen op de Goldsteig. Als beloning heb je dan vanaf de schamele resten van een kasteel een grandioos uitzicht over het dal van de Chamb tot in Bohemen. Je loopt verder naar de berghut Diensthütte Hohenbogen en dan bergaf in zuidelijke richting naar Grafenwiesen/Schönbuchen aan de voet van de Kaitersberg.
