off-leash in Uithofpark, The Hague

City park on the outskirts of The Hague (Den Haag / 's-Gravenhage). This route can be walked with dogs off-leash.
The surface is mostly gravel paths, some hard paved and sometimes a bit muddy (depending on the season).
There is a maze/labyrinth on a hill, the center has a nice vantage point. Behind the maze you will find one of the oldest municipal orchards in the Netherlands with various fruit trees. You can only visit the orchard outside the picking period. On the west side of the park is an area where Scottish Highlanders walk. It is a closed part that you can walk into. Dogs are not allowed there.
If you come by car, you can park at the start of this trail (coming from Ypenburg). Alternatively, you can park at the north side of the trail near the sporting facilitie De Uithof. Check the map.
