First follow the northern shore of the lake and then turn right onto a road. After reaching a crossroads, go straight on along trail marker 309 and soon turn left off the road onto a trail (sign „Malga Tuena“). The beautiful trail runs with little incline through a dense forest, the well-maintained path (steps, crossbars and slats) winds upwards in many bends to the vicinity of the Dos de la Mandra. Via wonderful clearings, nestled between the larches, you reach the Malga Tuena alpine pasture (1738 m, adjacent to the Bivacco Pio Sandri). Continue westwards along the forest road (mark 310) until you reach a crossroads. Continue to the right, first along a mule track and later along a climb to the beginning of the Val Madrìs valley. A steep grassy slope is crossed on the right to finally end at a rocky base that is bypassed on the right (several hairpin bends).
