The 2,085 m high Mt. Tolminski Kuk is the champion of the splendid mountain range above the Razor Mountain pasture. You can only notice its prominent and sightseeing summit from the mountain pass in front of Mt. Tolminski Migovec.

The trail to Mt. Tolminski Kuk leads through a nice beech forest to the Na Kalu Mountain pasture. From the sightseeing point, just before you reach this mountain pasture, you can admire the Tolminka Valley deep below and enjoy in views of the mountains surrounding Mt. Krn. The trail, which will initially take you through dwarf pines and later along a more rocky terrain, is routed along the southern outskirts of Mt. Tolminski Migovec and includes several sections above a pretty precipitous terrain which require caution. Turn to the left when you reach the mountain pass. With its neighbouring Mt. Zeleni vrh, Mt. Podrta gora and Mt. Vrh, Mt. Tolminski Kuk forms a wonderful chain of summits of the Bohinj-Tolmin Mountain range. This mountain range continues with Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino, Mt. Meja, Mt. Rušnati vrh and Mt. Vogel. There is a nice and sightseeing trail routed along the entire ridge.

You can prolong the tour to Mt. Zeleni vrh, Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino and all the way to the Razor Mountain pasture.

The trail is safe, however, some caution is advisable along the crossing trail beneath Mt. Tolminski Migovec which is routed above a precipitous terrain and covered with rocky gravel.The tour is partially routed along a marked easy hiking trail. Use of hiking trails is at your own risk!
Tips and hints
We recommend physically well-prepared hikers to continue to Mt. Zeleni vrh and Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino and then descend to the Razor Mountain pasture.Start

Turn-by-turn directions
In the village of Tolminske Ravne, start following the trail towards the Na Kalu Mountain pasture which turns uphill to the left just behind the gate at the end of the village pasture. Continue from the Na Kalu Mountain pasture towards Mt. Tolminski Migovec. When you reach the mountain pass, where splendid views open towards Mt. Tolminski Kuk, continue down the trail through dwarf pines and then ascend to a plateau. The trail will take you to the foothills and then zig-zag to the summit.
