Mt. Tolminski Migovec (1,882 m) – a stubby guardian above Tolminske Ravne
The trail to Mt. Tolminski Migovec leads through a nice beech forest to the Na Kalu Mountain pasture. From the sightseeing point, just before you reach this mountain pasture, you can admire the Tolminka Valley deep below and enjoy in views of the mountains surrounding Mt. Krn. The trail, which will initially take you through dwarf pines and later along a more rocky terrain, is routed along the southern outskirts of Mt. Tolminski Migovec and includes several sections above a pretty precipitous terrain which require caution. When you reach the mountain pass, turn onto the trail on your right (the trail to the left leads towards Mt. Tolminski Kuk) which will initially steeply ascend and then take you along several bends across the wide plateaued level section to a large pyramid on the top of the mountain. On this splendid sightseeing peak you can enjoy in views of the entire Bohinj-Tolmin Ridge to the north, the peaks of the Dolomites Mountain Range to the west, if the weather is clear, the hills above the Baška grapa Valley to the west, and the Adriatic Sea in the background of Mt. Matajur to the south. Return along the same trail.
