Tofana di Dentro
West of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the three mighty, heavy and inert rock masses of the Tofanoes define the image of the Dolomites, delimiting the green basin.
From the Dibona Hut, 2050 m, via the alpine variant of the Dolomite high-level trail in the gravel cirque between Tofana di Rozes and Punta Anna to the Forcella Fontana Negra with the Rifugio Giussani, 2561 m. From the refuge, head east around a rocky edge and up the scree cirque via short hairpin bends to the saddle between Punta Giovannina and the Tofana di Mezzo. Behind it, walk northwards on rocky ledges to the wide basin of the former Tofana glacier between Tofana di Mezzo and Tofana di Dentro, over which you reach the saddle between the two peaks. Now turn left and with the help of the belays of the Ferrata Tofana di Dentro you reach the summit. Descent: As for the ascent.
